⁵ Then the Pharisees^(A) and the scribes^(B) asked Him, “Why don’t Your disciples live according to the tradition of the elders,^(C) instead of eating bread with ritually unclean^[a] hands?”

⁶ He answered them, “Isaiah^(D) prophesied^(E) correctly about you hypocrites,^(F) as it is written:^(G)
